“WeDignify Meets Every Life with Hope”

“I’m apart of a family that has had many health issues, and I’ve also had a career in laboratory medicine, so I’ve spent a significant amount of time in hospitals. Patients come in seeking help and solutions, and physicians dedicate their lives to finding answers and providing healing. And if they cannot provide that, they can at least provide hope. Without this hope, there is fear and uncertainty. And it’s in these times that we often question life - our existence and suffering, our purpose and value, what gives meaning to life, how a person’s worth is measured, or if we even matter. Hopeless people can make desperate decisions.

The same is true for pregnancy and abortion. We question the existence of life - when does it begin? Why should children be brought into a world of suffering? Will they be wanted, neglected, or abused? Do they have purpose or value? What meaning can they contribute when interfering with the the mother’s plans and ambitions? Which life holds more worth?

And who can be the judge of that? Does my life matter more than yours? What are my options and is this a decision of hope or despair? Despite our doubts and fears, we all have intrinsic worth. And God cares for each of us. “For you formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.”  —Psalm 139:13-14

I believe in the sanctity of life, that each life is a gift from God, and that each life has value and worth no matter how small, how short, or how insignificant it may seem. I have felt the pain and loss of miscarriage, the fear and uncertainty of delivering a healthy baby, and the overwhelming responsibility and joy of parenting. Pregnant women seeking help, support, and solutions should always be met with hope. Everyone, both mother and baby, should have the chance to experience that hope despite what their futures may be.

Life isn’t perfect. There is suffering. We may not find purpose. Others may not value us. Our lives may not feel meaningful. Our accomplishments may be few or go unnoticed. But life’s unexpected turns and imperfections can be interesting, wonderful, and rewarding. And each of us is worthy with God! “For I know the plans that I have for you, declares Yahweh, plans for peace and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.’’  Jeremiah 29:11

WeDignify meets EVERY life with HOPE. That is why I gratefully support their mission”
