Biking for Babies Raises $14.953.73
Biking for Babies, a project of Students for Life of Illinois, officially ended for 2010 this summer with a total donation of $14.953.73 to the two charities, the Pregnancy Resource Center and Students for Life of Illinois. This is always a fun project because we get to bike across the state, make cool videos and raise money for a very effective local pregnancy center and for our pro-life work on college campuses. Here's an excerpt from www.BikingforBabies.com
...We called the Pregnancy Resource Center in order to present the check and it just so happened that they were going to be doing an 'Adoption Dedication.' We were able to participate in this ceremony in which a young 17 year old mother placed her new baby (Kathryn Rose) for adoption. It was a beautiful thing to see and a great witness to what your support of our biking can do!Thank you again for all of your prayers and support! For the Babies!-- The Biking for Babies Team
It was great to be able to see tangible results of our efforts. Kathryn Rose really put a (very cute) face on the reason we do what we do. Here's a picture of Mike and Kathryn:
