Apply to be a Student Pro-Life Missionary
A pro-life missionary teaches students to change hearts and save lives. By leading multiple pro-life small groups each week, student pro-life missionaries (SPLMs) serve on the front line of building a culture of life on college campuses.
SPLMs commit to one year of part-time missionary work (10-20 hours per week according to your availability). weDignify donors invest to allow this to be a paid position, starting at $17 an hour (higher pay is available based on experience).
Applications are now open for SPLMs for the 2025-2026 school year.
Requirements:
Current student on campus where weDignify is already established (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign or Illinois State University).
Completed leading a minimum of one semester of small group by January 2025.
Schedule:
SPLMs are, by definition, students. You will set your schedule with the Director of Mission Formation to accommodate your class schedule.
SPLMs will work with the Director of Mission Formation to determine how many hours you are expected to work on a weekly basis, ranging from 10-20 hours including leading small groups, office hours, meeting with students, and formation with weDignify staff.
SPLMs are required to attend summer staff training & leadership bootcamp, but otherwise do not have commitments during the summer. In special circumstances, a SPLM can request to work in Champaign, IL or remotely during the summer.
Job Specifics:
SPLMs commit to one year of service, May 19th, 2025 - May 18th 2026.
Required Days of Attendance:
May 19th - May 30th, 2025: Summer Staff Training in Champaign, IL. Housing provided.
July 8th - 13th, 2025: Staff Training & Leadership Bootcamp in Champaign, IL. Housing provided.
August 24th, 2025: Quad Day at U of I
Application Process:
Step 1: Fill out the questions below. Each question should be answered in about 200-300 words. Application questions are due by 5 PM (Central time) October 30th.
Step 2: Ask a mentor in your life to fill out the SPLM Recommendation Form. You make as a current weDignify Pro-Life Missionary, but it is not required. Recommendations are due by 5 PM (Central time) October 30th.
Step 3: If invited, you will be asked to interview with the Director of Mission Formation and/or current Pro-Life Missionaries.
