Life Week at U of I

Next week Illini Collegians for Life at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is holding "Life week".  All are invited to come and participate in this week that is full of pro-life events!  The schedule is below:

  • Monday, April 9
    • Activity Day, 10am-3pm, in front of the Union
      • Different RSOs from different organizations that support life will have tables in front of the Union to show all the different ways that the University of Illinois supports life through student organizations.
    • "The Ethics of Stem Cell Research," 7:30 pm, 161 Noyes
      • A presentation given by Dr. David Delaney that will discuss the ethics behind stem cell research
  • Tuesday, April 10
    • Cemetery of the Innocent, 8am-4pm, quad
      • 3534 flags will be placed in the ground to represent the number of abortions that occur in America every day.  This statistic was given by Planned Parenthood
    • "Abortion Methods," 7:30pm, 161 Noyes
      • A presentation given by Diana West on the methods that are used for an abortion
  • Wednesday, April 11
    • Table at the Union, 12-3pm
      • We'll be handing out information about ICFL
    • "In the Womb" documentary, 7:30, TBA
      • An informative National Geographic documentary on the development of a baby inside the womb!
  • Thursday, April 12
    • Table at the Union, 12-3pm
      • We'll be handing out information about ICFL
    • Anne Brochmann, 7pm, TBA
      • Anne Brochmann is a woman whose husband wanted her to have an abortion.  She'll be bringing her child in and talking about her experience.  She will talk for a half hour and have a Q&A session afterwards.
  • Friday, April 13
    • Flower Sale for Mom's weekend, 12-3pm, in front of the Union
      • This is an ICFL fundraiser that we do every year where we sell flowers for mothers outside of the Union
