Act Now to Stop This Dangerous Bill from Reaching Gov Pritzker's Desk!
An important message from our Executive Director:
As I read through the text of HB3709, I was shocked at how bold pro-abortion lawmakers have become.
Last year, weDignify students led the charge against distributing abortion pills at the on campus health center at the U of I. Although the student vote passed, the health center refused to distribute the abortion pills - because they don't have the expertise needed to handle the many complications that come from medical abortions.
The lawmakers who pushed this bill through did so without consulting the health centers. They even removed the requirement for the health centers to partner with a third party physician to ensure proper healthcare for the students who have these abortions. Their priority is clear - abortion "access" is more important than women's health.
But they didn't stop there - they edited the Higher Education Act to remove the phrase "approved by the FDA." If the FDA moves to ban or limit dangerous abortion medication, they will still be distributed in Illinois if Gov. Pritzker signs this law.
Please act today to help us stand against this terrible bill that targets young women and pre-born children by calling Pritzker's Office TODAY and urging him not to sign these dangerous bills.

Whether or not this bill becomes law, weDignify will continue to serve on college campuses to make sure all college students know of the life-affirming options and support available for them to have their education and their children.
With gratitude,
P.S. weDignify will be on the ground to reach women with life affirming options this Fall - send us there by donating today.
