A Letter from Maya

I grew up generally pro-life, but I was never given the information behind my beliefs.

In school, I was surrounded by pro-choice opinions, and I wasn’t thinking of the perspective of the child.

I began to think legal abortion was justified.

When I came back to my faith in college, I wanted to understand the pro-life cause. When I learned the truth of abortion, I moved from apathy and confusion to on fire for being pro-life.

But when I shared my pro-life beliefs with friends and family, I was met with disappointment, personal attacks and loss in friendships. I left many of those conversations wishing I could change hearts.

So I jumped on the opportunity to join a weDignify Small Group! weDignify gave me the skills to to effectively share my beliefs and change hearts.

I led my own Small Group, then led 35 students to advocate for life at the Illinois March for Life.

I see the people all around me or are apathetic and misinformed. I feel the conviction to fight against the evil that is abortion, and God has called me to use my time and talent to serve weDignify calling others to do the same.
