Abortionist Speaks at Law School

On the surface, this address at a University Of Toronto Law School’s conference is the usual call to worship those who generate the culture of death. Listening between the wavelengths of Dr. Romalis’ words though, it is blatantly obvious how his argument, like every argument in the pro-choice playbook, is a contradiction. The conference was held in memory of the case R. v. Morgentaler (Canada’s Roe v. Wade). Dr. Garson Romalis brought light to the" danger and honor” involved in his line of “work”: abortion. Bringing in Romalis defies what I thought the mission of a law school ought to be: to teach the law and promote the respect of it. The noble doctor told the story of when he performed an abortion on a minor without her parent’s consent, and afterwards received praise from the child’s own mother for usurping her role as guardian of the child. What better way to help shape Canada’s future attorneys than to pay tribute to the violation of the law. This seems to be the method of the pro-choice movement . A great example is the new Planned Parenthood in Aurora, IL, where several zoning codes and other laws have been violated in the name of “choice.” Many pro-choicers often cite the law as a first premise when defending legalized abortion, but what about all the laws they break in order to promote their “ideals?" How does this make sense? This mind set is in dire need of scrutiny, whether you are pro-choice or pro-life.On a final note, we must condemn the acts of violence against Dr. Romalis by the fanatical, fringe pro-lifers gone wrong. A key truth we must promote as pro-lifers on college campuses is this:Those who use violence to counteract violence are really not pro-life at all, but rather against the very core of our mission, which is to defend the dignity of all life, even the lives of those who actively participate in the destruction of life. I once heard Fr. Frank Pavone say that these people are not pro-life, but actually pro-choice, because they believe in ending a life to solve a problem, just as those who support abortion believe it is reasonable and compassionate to end a life to solve a problem.Story provided by the National Posthttp://www.nationalpost.com/opinion/story.html?id=283931&p=1
