CatholicVote is looking for dynamic young people to join with them in driving the media in the right direction.Intern ResponsibilitiesCatholicVote expects interns to be self-starters with good communication skills. The ability to balance multiple demands and work with shifting priorities and deadlines is a must.The interns are responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the organization. Duties will be divided between typical daily administrative support and larger projects such as: strategy and building small web-based campaigns, legislative and political research, drafting articles for CatholicVote.org, and various 2010 election projects.Ideal candidates will have an interest in non-profit advocacy work and pro-life politics. Experience with graphic design a plus.How to ApplyApplications for paid and volunteer internships are accepted on a rolling basis. CatholicVote is also willing to work with students to gain college credit for their internship experience.Qualifications:Applicants should be proficient in social mediaMust be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skillsMust be able to secure housing in the Chicagoland areaApplicants should clearly state WHEN they would be available to intern, at least in general terms (e.g. "June 1-August 15" or "Summer")Interested students can send a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to the attention of Kara Mone at kara@catholicvote.org.
