Moving off the Fence

Changing hearts and minds

Speaking up is hard and scary. But that did not stop Kileen, Loyola sophomore.Inspired by her mentor and trained by small groups, Kileen wanted to spread the pro-life message.Kileen tabled in the student center. Olivia approached hesitantly. “I don’t know where I stand (on abortion) - what about in cases of rape?”Most students don’t know what to say here, but Kileen had been prepared.“My answer flowed naturally - I was ready. We had just practiced this exact scenario when we learned Dialogue with Dignity!”weDignify’s technique, Dialogue with Dignity, teaches how to effectively navigate difficult conversations.Kileen responded to Olivia, “Our philosophy is that the child is just as much of a victim of the rape as the mother is, and that child’s life is not any less valuable because of the way he or she was conceived. We are here to love both mother and child.”“Wow, that’s actually a really good point! Thank you!”Impressed, Olivia signed up to be in our group!Because of you, we move students from on the fence to pro-life!
