From Unsure to Pro-Life Missionary
Meet Antonio: A new weDignify Pro-Life Missionary
"My involvement in the pro-life movement began 2 years ago, I was undecided about the issue of abortion.
My eyes were opened by a weDignify small group.
There is too much at stake to remain inactive, hiding behind fear and self-doubt, keeping our beliefs to ourselves!" - Antonio
Antonio educated his peers, captained a serve team, and mentored students into skilled, virtuous pro-life leaders.
This year, Antonio mentored David, a freshman leading his first weDignify small group.
When David saw a table promoting Planned Parenthood in the student union, he texted Antonio and a group of pro-life students to go advocate for preborn children and women. Antonio led the group in asking questions and sharing the pro-life message.
But the students promoting Planned Parenthood couldn't defend their pro-abortion position, instead...
"One of women wearing a Planned Parenthood t-shirt began barking loudly at us, pretending to be a dog – people were staring."
Antonio led the group of pro-life students in responding calmly, as weDignify Small Groups train students to do.
"We didn't change her mind, but we planted seeds in the hearts of those watching. They couldn't speak truth. We spoke truth with love. "
Antonio begins as a full-time Pro-Life Missionary this summer, and will serve at the U of I changing hearts and saving lives.
"We all have the power to influence others through inviting them to experience truth. The need around us requires that to be pro-life is a lifestyle of action grounded in love.
Don't hesitate to speak the truth about abortion. You will change hearts and minds. You will save lives."
– Antonio, speaking to 3,000+ pro-lifers at the Illinois March for Life
