Fostering a Culture of Life at Conference

weDignify’s 2024 Student Conference was a fruitful day of pro-life education! The goal of Conference is to give students the tools they need to begin building a culture of life on campus. We do this through community building, testimonies, and speakers.

Community Building

Students started the day with “human bingo”, an icebreaker where they learned fun facts about their fellow peers!

Students also had the opportunity to discuss different topics with their tables, learning more about their classmates and building a community of support for pro-life advocates.

Testimonies

One student, Sophia, told us “Hearing testimonies was such an impactful way to better understand the personal effects of abortion”.

“The testimonies by Lori and Greg were very powerful openers, really providing an emotional core to the conversations, and really striking at personal heartstrings for me.” - Boyd

Speakers

Our Executive Director, Anna, talked about Healing Hope. She taught students how to walk with someone who has had an abortion.

Jude said “Anna’s talk was touching. She was able to give new perspectives from people who have actually experienced abortions.”

Our Keynote Speaker was Jay Watts, president and founder of Merely Human Ministries! Jay taught Pro-Life Apologetics and How to share the truth of abortion in the real world. Here’s what a few students had to say after hearing Jay speak:

“I’ve always been pro life but I’ve never been able to put together a coherent argument to support it. Jay’s talk helped me begin to understand how to compassionately debate about the issue.” - EJ

Miriam shared “I thought the sections presented by Jay Watts were really helpful in seeing ways to dialogue with others. Especially when he spoke from the perspective of a pro-choice person, it made it easier to see counter-arguments!”

We had over 50 students attend conference this year! To find out how you can help support future events like this, click the donate button in the upper right corner of our home page!
